Description
(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued only upon request. (ii) This is a Request for Quote. (iii) Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. Copies of applicable provisions and/or clauses may be obtained by calling the point of contact listed in this announcement. (iv) This RFQ is 100 percent small business set-aside. NAICS code: 421450; size standard: 100 employees. (v) There is one line item in this solicitation, ITEM QUANTITY, UNIT, UNIT PRICE, TOTAL PRICE. 0001 1 RESPIRATOR FIT TESTING INSTRUMENT. Model 8020 PORTACOUNT Plus Respirator Fit Tester OR EQUAL. Provides automated testing for proper fit of respirators. Can be used on various types and styles of masks. SPECIFICATIONS: Size: 9.5in x 7.5in x 5.5in. Weight: with battery 4.2lb, without battery 3.3lb. Fit Factor Range: 1 to greater than 10,000. Concentration Range: 0.01 to 5 x 10(5) particles/cm3. Particle Size Range: 0.02 to greater than 1 micrometer. Typical Fit Factor Accuracy: 10% of reading. Minimum Exercise Duration: 30 sec. Temperature Range: Operation 32 to 100 degrees F (0 to 38 degrees C), Storage -40 to 160 degrees F (-40 to 70 degrees C). Flow Rate: Sample 100cm3/min, Total 700cm3/min (nominal). Optional Battery: Hours of operation per charge 3 hours at 70 degrees F (21 degrees C), Charge cycles 500, Rating 4 volts, 2.5 amp-hour, Type: Lead-acid. Alcohol: Hours per charge 8 hours at 70 degrees F (21 degrees C), Alcohol type 99.5% reagent grade isopropyl. RS-232 Output: Baud Rate User-selectable; 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 9600 (factory set at 1200). Carrying Case: Size 21in. x 14in. x 8.3in. (53cm x 36cm x 21cm), Weight with standard accessories 13lb (5.9 kg), Weight with optional printer and battery kit 18.5lb (8.4 kg). Pass/Fail Setting: User-selectable: 0, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 1250, 1667, 2000, 4000, 5000, 6667, 10000 (other values can be programmed by user). Factory Recalibration Interval: One year. Warranty: Two year on parts and labor, 90 days on batteries: 1 $_______ $_______ (vi) Delivery date is 30 days after receipt of order. (vii) This commercial acquisition incorporates the following clauses and provisions: 52.212-1, Instruction to offerors - Commercial, Addenda to 52.212-1 Incorporates the statement "All references to "offer" and "offeror" are hereby changed to read "quote" and "quoter" respectively," paragraph (a) The NAICS code is 421450, size standard is 100 employees. Quotes will be evaluated according to lowest responsible, responsive quote. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items. Addenda to 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, incorporate the statement "All references to "offer" and "offeror" are hereby changed to read "quote" and "quoter" respectively." Addenda to paragraph (c) Changes: Add the following sentence "a unilateral modification for administrative changes such as changes in paying office, appropriation date, etc." is authorized. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The additional FAR clauses: 52.225-1, Buy American Act -- Balance of Payments Program -- Supplies; 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer -- Central Contractor Registration. All quoters shall include a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification - Commercial Items, which applies to this acquisition found in 52.252-2, Clauses Incorporated by Reference, states "As prescribed in 52.107(b), insert the following clause: Clauses Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998). This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
