Description

The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, materials, and supervision necessary to provide, Schedule I (Outbound Services), Schedule II (Inbound Services), and Schedule III (Intra-City and Intra-Area Moves), packing, containerization and local drayage of personal property shipments for Edwards AFB, California to include Los Angeles and Kern County. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Performance Work Statement based on Defense Transportation Regulation, Personal Property, #DOD 4500.9R, Part IV, Aug 99. Period of Performance: Basic (1 Jan 2002 thru 31 Dec 2002) plus four option years. The solicitation/Request for Proposal (RFP) is a total Small Business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 4783, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 488991 and the Small Business Size Standard is $18.5 mil. All responsible small business contractors are encouraged to participate. Expect the solicitation to be posted to this site on or about 18 Oct 01. Telephone requests to be placed on the mailing list will not be honored. This acquisition will be solicited in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial items. All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) at www.ccr.dlsc.dls.mil prior to the anticipated date of award.
