Description

December 10, 2001 The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide sleeping rooms, meeting space and meals for AmeriCorps VISTA Pre-Service Orientation on Jan 29, 2002 - February 1, 2002. The following will be required:  Beginning 29 Jan. 02 at 10:30 a.m. Registration area in the lobby of the facility with 4 large tables.  Dinner in the main dining area (served at 6:30 p.m.) for approximately 150 persons days 1-3 of training.  Breakfast and Lunch for days 2 - 4, for approximately (150 people)  Morning breaks day 2 -4 (150 people). The morning breaks shall consist of coffee, tea and punch. The afternoon breaks, of punch and light snacks. Afternoon breaks day's 1 -3 (150 people). 20% of all meals are estimated to be kosher or vegetarian.  One large meeting room for approximately 150 people (classroom style) days 1-4  5 breakout rooms will be needed to accommodate 4 rounds of 8 at round tables for days 2-4  Sleeping rooms needed: 70 Double: 29, 30 & 31 January 2002 10 Singles: 29, 30 & 31 January 2002  Audiovisual equipment to consist of:  one (1) telephone at the registration desk and trash can;  one (1) microphone and four () flip charts in each of breakout rooms days 2-4 of training;  One (1) monitor and VCR. Federal Regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the FEMA, Fire Prevention and Control Guidelines. All proposed prices must be inclusive. For example, audio-visual rentals and the cost of food must include gratuity if applicable. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx and is issued as a request for a quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this requirement is 721110, Hotels (except casino hotels) Motels and the small business size standard is $5M. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offers?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offer must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items with its offer. This is a best value procurement and evaluation of offers will be based on quality, past performance and price. References must be included with your offer. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders?Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in 52.212-5 (b) and (c) are included by reference: 52.222-21; 52.222-22; 52.222-23; 52.222-41; 52.225-3; and 52.232-34. Quotations must be submitted in writing, signed by a person authorized to negotiate on behalf of the vender with the Government and sent to the address in this announcement.
