Description
VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN has a requirement for labor and material to furnish and install Brand Name Only Atlas Copco Air Compressors. Proposals are being requested under RFP 618-95-02. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. NAICS Code 235310 Special Trade Contractors with small business size of $11.5 million. This solicitation does not exclude large business participation. Base Bid: Provide labor, materials and equipment to install Brand Name Only Atlas Copco, Rotary Screw Model GA-18 for Laundry, Bldg. 70; Rotary Screw Model GA-5 for Instrument Room, Bldg. 49, and Medical Air Compressor, 2 each, Model SF2, medical gas applications, for Dental, Bldg. 70; Add Alternate #1: Provide all labor, material and equipment to install Rotary Screw Model GA-5 for Apparatus Shop, Bldg. 49; Add Alternate #2: Provide all labor, material and equipment to install Rotary Screw Model GA-5 for Energy Center, Bldg. 69; Add Alternate #3: Provide all labor, material and equipment to install Rotary Screw Model GA-5 for Instrument Air, Bldg. 70; Add Alternate #4: Provide all labor, material and equipment to replace existing dryer at the Instrument Air Compressor, Bldg. 70, with Brand Name or Approved Equal Ultratroc Dryer Model CP 0100 (Ultrafilter) (NOTE that Contractor must provide new piping in Add Alternate #3 in order to facilitate connection(s) to either existing dryer or new dryer under Add Alternate #4. Provide 3 each operating and service data manuals for each piece of equipment installed, with certified prints of general compressor arrangement, parts listing, electrical schematics, etc. Operator training to be provided by Contractor after installation. Contractor must be on-site for start-up and determination of fully operating system. The contractor guarantees the equipment against defective material, workmanship and performance for a period of not less than 1 year, said guarantee to run from date of acceptance of the equipment by the Government. The contractor agrees to furnish, without cost to the Government, replacement of all parts and material which are found to be defective during the guarantee period. Replacement of material and parts will be furnished to the Government at the point of installation. Cost of installation of replacement material and parts shall be borne by the contractor. All Specifications (No. 02-1), terms and conditions apply to this RFP 618-95-02 proposal. Proposals will be evaluated, considering Technical Capability, Past Performance and Price. Technical Capability and Past Performance are approximately equal, and when combined, are approximately equal to Price; however, VA will overall evaluate proposals, and may make award based on Best Value for the Government. Price factors will include best value, delivery period, warranty, etc. The Government may elect to award without discussions. Complete all work within 120 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages will be accessed at $100.00 per calendar day for every day exceeding the completion date. Proposals shall include Descriptive Literature, Representations and Certifications, address technical capabilities, past performance, price and price related factors.
