- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Construct Operational Ground Test Facility (OGTF) at Test Area C-80A, Eglin AFB FL. THIS IS A "TRADE-OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with Construction of Operational Ground Test Facility (OGTF) at Test Area C-80A, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work consists of design, furnish and erect a pre-engineered metal building, complete with foundations, ramps, stoops, floors, doors, exterior walls, bridge crane, compressed air system, standing seam metal roof, insulation and interior liner panels. Exterior and interior mechanical and plumbing work; and exterior and interior electrical construction. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is located on Eglin AFB FL at Test Area C-80A, approximately 18 miles northeast of Eglin Main Base. Proposal due date of 11 FEBRUARY 2002 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance period is 150 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). See Note 26.
