- NAICS Code: 212311 Using procedures set forth in FAR Part 12 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to purchase Landscape Boulders to be placed along the perimeter of two buildings in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The two buildings are located adjacent to each other and require these boulders due to recent changes in National Security requirements. The EPA requires a vendor to procure and place Landscape Boulders along the perimeter of both buildings to provide additional safety to staff and Government property. The Landscape boulders must be a minimum of 36 inches in diameter with a maximum of 60 inches in diameter, generally round in shape. They are to be placed 48 inches apart (edge to edge). Upon placement, the height above ground must be a minimum of 31 inches high. The EPA has an estimated 2,280 feet to cover with these Landscape Boulders. The EPA has estimated the need to be approximately 327 boulders. However, a reduction or addition may be necessary to cover the required area depending on size of boulders. This is a Small Business Set-aside (See Note 1). Sources wishing to be considered should submit documentation of interest within 15 days of the date of publication of this notice. We are expecting award of this contract by mid-January 2002, with an anticipated delivery of January 31, 2002.
