- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Business Center has a requirement for Repair and Preventive Maintenance Inspection Service on aging Government owned audiometers. This is a synopsis for a commercial service. This announcement constitutes a synopsis only. This procurement is unrestricted. The solicitation document will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The NAICS code for this project is 811219 (annual income of 5.0 million or less). The Government seeks a contractor with familarity and ability to repair and service aging audiometers. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, parts (limited to $100.00) and transportation required to repair and maintain government owned audiometers at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Los Angeles, CA and the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Long Beach, CA facilities. The successful contractor must have local facilities and service technicians to be able to respond within eight hours of initial service call. The intended contract will be for a base period of one year with the government?s option to extend the contract in one-year increments for four (4) one-year option periods. The solicitation issue date will be on or about January 22, 2002 with proposals due on or about February 19, 2002 (2:00PM).
