Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to issue a purchase order, on a sole-source basis under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), to Frost & Sullivan for the renewal of the subscription to Technical Insights Alert On-line Database. The aforementioned database is the exclusive intellectual property of Frost & Sullivan. As proprietor of the database, Frost & Sullivan is the only known source that can provide upgrade, support, and maintenance.Technical Insights provides NIST a wide range of subscription services in the form of technical news alerts, newsletters, and multi-client and custom reports. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; no competitive solicitation will be issued; however, the Government will consider all quotes or other information received by 1/11/2002. A determination by the Government not to compete this notice based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD. Price shall be inclusive of all delivery charges. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available
