Description

NA Notice of Intent The Government intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to an 8(a) firm, Consolidated Safety Services, 4031 University Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, Virginia 22030. The purpose of this contract is to establish and maintain a safe and secure base of Department of Defense commercial carriers to transport Government official and military travelers. This contract provides management information to ensure reliable and hig h-quality transportation through the use of on-site inspections. The On-Site inspection verifies a carrier's qualifications, management structure, equipment maintenance records, personnel management requirements, and carrier performance standards that are more stringent than those used in the private sector and enforcement, monitoring and compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations using an in-depth inspection and rating system. This contract will identify, describe, and assess the factor s that directly influence safe transport of DOD personnel by commercial surface carriers. No RFP is available for competitive bidding. However, interested parties are encouraged to submit capability statements for satisfying this requirement.
