- NA The Integrated Aviation Systems 21 Working Group (IAS21WG) intends to acquire on an other than full and open competitive basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, flight test support (engine inlet, temperature, vibration and lubrication survey) for the A/ MH-6 Mission Enhanced Little Bird (MELB) configured helicopter. Support shall include on-site assistance and the requirement to provide all required instrumentation and the data acquisition system to include installation and removal of same. A test repor t is required upon conclusion of the testing. A fixed price Purchase Order with a period of performance including approximately two weeks of test support is anticipated. Place of performance will be Fort Rucker, AL. The intended source of supply is Roll s-Royce Corporation, 2001 South Tibbs Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46241. As the original equipment manufacturer of the 250-C30R3/M engine, Rolls-Royce Corp. possesses the technical data rights and FAA certification for the engine, and therefore is the only sou rce available to approve aircraft conditions which will affect said engine. The Government does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data required to perform the effort. A solicitation will not be issued as we intend to negotiate a Purchase Order utilizing Alpha contracting procedures. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
