Description

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC)- PrISMS, in support of Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) intends to award, on the basis of an open and competitive acquisition, an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) subcontract for independent rack mount "commodity defined" Intel based server units, software, racks, installation, and support which are compliant to a written Technical Specification. CSC intends to acquire an initial quantity of twenty (20) dual processor "1U" sized independent server units with MS Windows 2000, one (1) forty (40) "1U" rack, and support, with options to expand to a total of one hundred sixty (160) "1U" server units and four (4) forty (40) "1U" racks over the term of the agreement. All systems shall be provided with a minimum of three (3) years of 5X8 hardware "warranty/maintenance" w/next day(or better) on-site repair from the date of installation. The formal Request For Proposal (RFP) will be available via e-mail in approximately fifteen (15) days from the posted date of this synopsis to all interested parties that respond to this synopsis. The RFP package will include all relevant information for proposal preparation. Interested and responsible parties responding to this synopsis shall initiate a request to tom.antoniel@msfc.nasa.gov or fax to 256-544-5828 and shall provide the following in their request: Solicitation Number "071CSC22762", Company Name, Point of Contact, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address. Responses received after 15 days or without the required information noted above may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to monitor this site for solicitation amendments (if any). Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. All questions must be submitted in writing.
