- Synopsis: This FMS requirement is to obtain engineering services to support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Peace Marble V Antenna Radiation Pattern and Isolation Test. This effort requires contractor to provide the LANTIRN navigation pods in addition to the providing testing support. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is the OEM of the LANTIRN system, and is the only source possessing the critical system expertise for the aforementioned testing support. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 01 Feb 2002 with an approximate response date of 01 Mar 2002. Request for solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading from this web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The buyer is Deana B. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requester are acceptable. The request for solicitation should contain Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Cage Code Number, Size of Business pursuant to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511 (750 employees). No telephone requests will be accepted Sole Source to: Lockheed Martin, CAGE: 04939. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). Justification: The proposed contract action for supplies or services required are available from one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
