Description

The Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIR) has a requirement and intends to award a cost plus award fee modification to contract N00019-93-C-0006 with Bell-Boeing for the effort and associated products required to re-baseline the CV-22 program. This effort includes expanding the current CV-22 Test Program to include new Joint Operational Requirements Document (JORD) requirements and Block Upgrade changes. The Bell-Boeing team is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the V-22 tilt rotor aircraft. As such, Bell-Boeing is the only source possessing the facilities, tooling, equipment, and knowledge of the V-22 aircraft design and performance characteristics necessary to satisfy the government's requirement.
