- Description
- The purpose of this announcement is to request input and information from industry relative to the DRAFT Statement Of Work (SOW) entitled "NOS/NGS Field Survey Data Collection System." If the DRAFT SOW is not attached to this FEDBIZOPS announcement, it can be accessed by going to the following URL: It is contemplated that the responses to this announcement will help NOAA further clarify its requirement, and identify the reasonableness of the system's attributes. Finally, NOAA seeks to identify any existing work or contracts for a like or similar product including Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items that can be provided as-is or with some modification. It is anticipated that an award for this requirement will occur before September 30, 2002. To facilitate its review, NOAA requests that all responses to this announcement be submitted to the primary point of contact (Ms. Prattsie Artis) and present information in the following format: In its cover letter, venders are asked to identify (1) its name and address including the name, address, email address and phone number of a point of contact capable of further discussing the response; (2) its size and socio-economic status (e.g., large/small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned, etc.) The applicable NAICS code for this prospective requirement is 541511; (3) any existing contracts currently held by the vender that would allow an order for this requirement to be placed (e.g., GSA/FSS contract, GWAC, etc.); (4) A consolidated description of the vender's specific skills and expertise relative to performing the services outlined in the DRAFT SOW as well as a rough estimate of the total cost to produce this system. Along with the cover letter, venders are requested to provide a detailed set of comments relative to the DRAFT SOW, including a description of any existing COTS products or other products that either are being produced or can be modified to provide the desired outcome. Venders may also include literature that further describes its company and would facilitate NOAA's understanding of the vender's skills/expertise. Once NOAA has evaluated all the submissions, further discussions will be held if needed. It is important for all responses to be received by 4:00pm Monday, February 4, 2002. Responses received after this date/time may not be considered.
