Description
Special Note: Reference Original CBDNet Submission No. SN5121R7, Dated November 19, 2001. Multiple contracts will be awarded to contractors to provide services under the Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement Project (AMAP) in support of the U. S. Agency for International Development's, Office of Microenterprise Development. It is anticipated that the issuance date for RFP M/OP-01-1363 will be November 19, 2001 and the closing date will be January 8, 2002. The AMAP requirement was designed to provide USAID Washington and Mission-based operating units with services required to establish, deepen and/or expand their activities in microenterprise development. AMAP will provide quick and effective technical assistance, training, financial and evaluation services required to design, implement, evaluate and coordinate the delivery of creative, state-of-the art microfinance and business development services to the world's poor. It is anticipated that multiple contract awards of indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IQC), time-and-materials type contracts will be made under full and open competitions for each of the following areas of substantive involvement: micro finance, business development services, and enabling environment. A small business set-aside exists for the AMAP support services function and it is anticipated that multiple contract awards of indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, time-and-materials type contracts will be made under this function to small business concerns. The contracts will each have a base period of 48 months and one 12 month option period.
