Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), MacDill AFB, Florida, intends procure the inspection, and overhaul of Lockheed WP-3D Brake Assemblies(P/N 2-1109, NSN 1630-00-927-1773). The minimum will be two assemblies, with the possibility of additional assemblies as required to support two aircraft (six assemblies estimated). The contractor will provide all inspections at a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved facility. The government will ship the brake assemblies to the contractor facility. All overhaul work will be done in accordance with FAA publications NAVAIR publications, or manufacturers approved data for the overhaul of the brake assemblies. The contractor will be responsible for all documentation and FAA Form 8120-3. Maximum down time is four weeks after delivery of the unit to the contractor's facility. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and parts necessary to perform the inspection and overhaul. A tear down inspection report will be forwarded to the AOC Maintenance Officer. All items are to be provided by the contractor either in new or overhauled condition and will be properly tagged in conformance with FAA regulations. The contractor will obtain instruction regarding the disposition of non-exchangeable items from the AOC Maintenance Officer. Parts and material furnished for this inspection and overhaul will be warranted to be free from defects and workmanship for a period of one year or 500 flight hours, whichever occurs first from the date at which the unit becomes operational. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on or about January 30, 2002. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 488190. The small business size standard is $5,000,000.00. This purchase will be made under the guidelines of FAR, Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
