Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number assigned for this request for proposal, negotiate procurement is CT1470-02. This solicitation is issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and proposals may be downloaded from UNICOR.GOV web page. The announcement constitutes the solicitation and offers are being requested. The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. The North American Industry Classification Code is 333298. SIC CODE: 3559. These are brand name or equal items. All interest offerors must submit a proposal on both items to be considered for award. This is an ALL or NONE requirement. All interested offerors may provide a proposal for the requested line items are as follows: Item 0001 ? Safyet Stitch (Juki MO 3616) 3/16"x 3/16" guage. Quantity: 13 each. Item 0002 ? 3- thread Overlock Stitch with Top Metering Device (Juki MO 3604)1/4" guage. Quantity: 9 each. Final Acceptance is subject to UNCIOR Quality Assurance Inspection by USP Pollock, LA. Variation in quantity is +/-0% increase and decrease. Delivery, inspection and acceptance will occur at the FOB Destination point: USP Pollock, 1000 Airbase Road, Pollock, LA 71467. Delivery is no later than 60 calendar days after the award of the contract. FAR provision at 52.212- 1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Item applies to this acquisition; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal applies to this acquisition. 52.216-22 Indefinite Quantity applies. Offerors shall submit a signed and dated proposal to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries (FPI), Attn: Bid Custodian, at the address listed below or via facsimile (202) 305-7337 or 7363. Offers may be submitted on Standard Form (SF) 1449 or letterhead stationary and shall indicate the solicitation number, bid opening date and time, name, address, and telephone number of the bidder. This will be a firm-fixed price contract . The period of performance is 60 days. Award may be made with/without discussions to responsive/ responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering price, past performance and price related factors. Offeror must hold prices firm for not less than 90 days from the closing date. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Bidder Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with your proposal. Any offer that fails to furnish the required representations and certifications, or which rejects or changes any terms and conditions, may be rejected and excluded from consideration. A written notice of award shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
