Description
The Sierra Pacific Network Consolidated Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source with Secure Care Products of Concord, NH to purchase the Secure Care Wandering Resident ID System for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Central California Health Care System, 2615 E. Clinton Avenue, Fresno, CA 93703, a Department of Veterans Affairs facility within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 21). The Government believes that this is the only firm capable of providing a Patient Wandering Resident System with the following features: operational frequency of 13.56MHz; identifies residents at the nursing station by name, room number, transmitter number, and location; manufactured in the United States; all Life Safety Code 101 control functions contained in the keypad exit panel; loitering alarm feature at each exit panel and displays a 4-digit LED readout: magnetic lock holding force of 500 pounds; nurse station console with a vacuum florescent display that provides readability from any angle and over long distances; replacement transmitters and straps available through both the manufacturer and Direct Supply catalog; manufacturer is ISO9001 certified; active watertight transmitters (not transponders and passive tags); surface (flush) mounted system; system control panel that directly controls the magnetic locks and elevators; system control panel that includes 4 dry contact outputs and a full 30-minute battery backup; system control panel recognizes the time of day and is programmable to lock and unlock doors at designated times; system control panel has 1000 possible reset codes programmable through the keypad by the user; adjustable system to detect transmitters from a range of 0 to 18 feet: anti-tailgate feature; and an available handheld tester to test transmitters and exit systems. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; NO solicitation package will be available. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. No telephone or e-mail inquires will be accepted.
