Description

DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Motorola, Inc., U.S. Federal Government Markets Division of Hanover, Maryland, for network equipment and DONCO furniture. This acquisition is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3663, 2522. The NAICS code is 334520, 337214. This equipment is required for support of 35114F/Base Operations. The following items will be procured: Add: Interface, Remote Operator; Headset Base w/PTT Switch; Noise Cancelling Headset; Centracom Gold Speaker Module, Desktop For CIE (CUBE); Modem Card Cage 115 AC Package (Incl. AC, 115V Cage, SDCP, Qty2 NIM); Add: Open Slot Panel Comshare 3000; Add: Card Paradyne 3811 V.3229 (Op Position); Add: Card Paradyne 3811 + V.34 (elite WAN); Superstack II 12 Port Hub 40; Ethernet Cable 25; WAN cable V.35 DTE 20 FT; S400 WAN Multi-Port Conversion Switch; Tone Remote Adapter (for URC-200); Generic Radio Cable Unterminated; Bare Leads; Card Paradyne 3811 V.3229 (Op Position); Card Paradyne 3811 + V.34 (Elite WAN); Ethernet Cable 25; WAN Cable V.35 DTE 20 FT; Centracom Gold Interface Module; Installation and Programming of Console Electronics and Elite WAN; Console furniture (Note: furniture must be specifically configured to house console equipment.); Remove existing console furniture and install new furniture. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Governments requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 26 January 2002. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 25 January 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the closing date. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
