Description

This is an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity type contract of an annually requiring requirement. There is insufficient force protection throughout parking areas at both Yokota AB and Tama Service Annex. The proposed anti-vehicle defensive system denies vehicle access via road and parking areas during increased Force Protection Conditions. Bollards/Stand Pipes with wire ropes will be used to restrict parking 25m from primary gathering facilities (DoD Construction Standard). This project will not only prevent unauthorized access but also enhance security at Yokota AB and Tama Service Annex, Tokyo, Japan NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM WORK IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. Site orientation is scheduled for 22 Jan 02, 1300 hrs. Participants will meet at Bldg 620, Yokota Air Base, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate in this scheduled tour. Performance Period: Performance under this contract shall be from 15 Mar 2002, or the date of award if subsequent thereto, through 14 Mar 2003 (Basic Period); 15 Mar 2003 through 14 Mar 2004 (Option One).
