- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to procure two 5-Stage Reciprocating Air Compressors for use in an indoor, heated, general purpose environment and is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed priced Contract. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency. This combined synopsis/solicitation will close on 31 January 2002, award will be made on or about 15 February 2002, with delivery 60 days after award. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotes that will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-02 dated 18 December 2001. Contract line item number (CLIN) 0001 is a 5-Stage Reciprocating Air Compressor Qty 2. Size: 15-3/4 inches x 14 inches. Delivery Capacity: 385 SCFM (+/-3%). Speed Rating: 230 RPM. Suction Pressure: 0 PSIG; 14.7 PSIG; 80F; 100%RH. Discharge Condition; 3500 PSIG. Power Required: 220 BHP (+/-3%). Including water-cooled, 5-stage, single throw compressor V-belt driven train with guard; 250 HP, 1200 RPM, 460 V/3PH/60Hz, 1.0 S.F., TEFC enclosure premium efficiency induction motor, with adjustable slide base; splash lube frame system; shell and tube type inter-cooler for first stage and second stage discharge; shell and coil type for remaining inter-coolers and after-cooler; moisture separators after each inter-cooler; pressure gauges, mounted on first stage cooler; safety relief valves; fault detection shutdown switches wired to a locally mounted standard local panel. System is to include one (1) automatic Blow-down System and Automatic Condensate drain system, with piping/tubing manifolded to compressor skid for customer connection. System is to include one (1) 250HP, 460V/3Ph/60Hz, soft type Motor Starter/Annunciator panel with local reset and start/stop button, shipped loose, off skid installation. All equipment mounted on a structural steel base, piped, wired, mechanical tested, cleaned, and painted. All equipment suitable and rated for operational use in an indoor, heated, general purpose environment. System is to include one (1) set of compressor maintenance tools for each compressor, included in the scope of supply. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition and there are no addenda to the provision. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provisions in 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, with quotation.
