Description

NA See note 22. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is contemplating an addition to an existing contract with SAIC for specialized analysis to evaluate the vulnerability of critical federal governing centers and critical infrastructure sites. It is anticipa ted the contractor will employ state of the art Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and computational structural dynamics (CSD) methodologies. Pre-processing of both the structural data and the fluid dynamics environment will be performed using a graphic pr e-processor that also specifies all grid generator and fluid/structure solver boundary conditions and element size definition for both the CFD and the CSD. The flow solver will be a 3-D adaptive, unstructured, edge-based hydro solver based on the finite-e lement method flux-corrected transport concept. The structural dynamics solver will be an unstructured, explicit finite element code. Results of the analysis will enable the contractor to recommend protective-preventative measures.
