- Description
- The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Center for Acquisition and Logistics (SOAL), Directorate of Procurement has a requirement to provide a Foreign Language Training Program. This procurement is intended to provide USSOCOM with a readily available source to provide training to personnel in the United States. The requirement includes, but is not limited to, training in the following foreign languages: Category One: Spanish (basic and advanced), French (basic & advanced), Portuguese, and Italian; Category Two: German; Category Three: Russian and Serbo-Croatian; Category Four: Arabic. See the solicitation for a complete listing of the languages. Listening/Verbal Skills are the focus of the basic courses, instruction in multiple dialects, maintenance courses of instruction (COI), and advanced courses must be readily available at short notice for all of the of the aforementioned languages. The vendor will supply all instruction personnel and materials. In country immersion is part of this procurement. During the immersion portion of the training, the trainee will reside with a suitable host nation family and will receive, depending upon the language, a predetermined number of formal instruction hours per day. Verifiable instructor references must be made available with any offer to provide services. USSOCOM anticipates awarding an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) interim task order contract with fixed-price contract line items as a result of this solicitation. The period of performance is approximately one year; the total estimated maximum is $750,000. Places of performance include, but are not limited to, Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA. This is a 100% small business set-aside (North American Industry Classification System/NAICS code is 611630) and the small business size standard is $5M. All potential, responsible small business sources are invited to submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, the Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to receive solicitations, contract awards or payments.
