Description

UNICOR FPI intends to award a Firm Fixed Price type contract to West Point Foundry and Machine Co., PO Box 589, West Point Georgia, 31833-0589 for the sale of a Slasher Head End to be utilized on a Westpoint Model 861 beam winder machine. A Request for Proposal will be issued for this requirement. Equipment is used for the towel production at USP Terre Haute, IN. There is one (1) line item. Line Item 0001 - Slasher Head End - Quote # 02-003-C. The period of performance will be from Date of Award thru 7 months. Delivery Acceptance is 20 weeks after award of contract. FOB Destination is USP Terre Haute, IN. West Point Foundry and Machine Company is the only source known for providing this item. Additional information will be provided in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about January 21, 2002. All interested offerors shall identify their interests in writing and fully document their capability to meet the Agency?s requirements and forward to the attention of Joscie L. Barnes, Contracting Officer, UNICOR, FPI Clothing/Textiles - 6th Floor, 400 First Street, NW, Washington, DC 20534. All responsible sources shall be considered. All responses shall be received not later than January 28, 2002 at 2:00 pm to determine that a comparable source is available, or is more advantageous to the Government. Negotiations will take place with West Point Foundry & Machine Company.
