- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to perform Pavement Maintenance at USCG Group Long Island Sound, New Haven, CT and Roadway Improvements at Ansonia Housing Area, Ansonia, CT (New Haven County). Pavement Maintenance at New Haven includes removing and disposing existing asphalt pavement, concrete pads and walkways, and a portion of the granular base course for an area of approximately 1700 square yards; regrading the remaining granular base course; and providing new granular base, 2-inch thick asphalt binder, and 2-inch thick asphalt wearing course. In a separate area at New Haven, the work includes cleaning and sealing cracks in a parking area that is approximately 4100 square yards; providing a 1- inch thick asphalt wearing course overlay over this area, and providing pavement markings for the parking lot. Also included are items such as adjusting manhole frames and covers and valve boxes to the new grade, providing traffic controls and signs, and incidental related work. Roadway Improvements at Ansonia includes widening the bituminous concrete pavement on Hughes Circle from its current average width of 22 feet to a uniform width of 30 feet. Hughes Circle is approximately 540 feet long. The work also includes providing a 1-inch overlay on the entire road, widening the bituminous concrete driveways for the 16 houses, providing bituminous concrete lip curbing, making alterations to the stormwater drainage system, and related incidental work. NAICS code is 234110, with a size standard of $27.5 million. Estimated cost of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. A 20% Bid bond will be required.
