- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700101Q0009. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The proposed acquisition is a small business set-aside. The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 3648 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.Line Item 0001: Self Contained Portable Light Tower with 6KW Generator; qty = 9; Description: (NOTE ? the following description is for a Magnum Products Nightbuster 4060I-MH. This description is being used solely for comparison of type of light tower desired. Vendor(s) are NOT limited to quoting on this specific model; quote(s) on an EQUIVALENT model will be accepted.) Generator Set ? liquid cooled, diesel engine; brushless, 6KW, 4-pole, self regulated generator; rubber vibration dampers; radiator sized to allow continuous running in 116 ambient temperatures; full flow oil filter, spin on type; fuel filter with replaceable element; fuel consumption = .5gph; dry type cartridge air filter; 12 volt HD maintenance free, 550 CCA, zero degree Fahrenheit batter ? a) one 120V 20A GFI, b) 240V 30 A twist lock; 6000 watt continuous rating. Engine ? HP = 15.5; Controls = key switch to preheat, start and stop; hour meter and voltmeter; low oil/high temperature shut down system.
