- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, the test program outlined in FAR 13.6 as well as supplemental information provided herein. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has completed an extensive market analysis of Electronic Records Management (ERM) software to assist the agency in electronic record keeping. From this survey, the USPTO has concluded that the Tarian software was the only product that met all requirements and the most compliant with PTO's needs in pointer-based architecture. The Patent and Trademark Office intends to issue a purchase order to Tarian for the performance of a proof of concept involving approximately 50 days of services, a 200 user license as well as software maintenance on the 200 licenses. A simplified acquisition will be issued to procure the proof of concept these services and software from Tarian. A site license to allow 8,500 users for this product may be procured at a later date, pending successful completion of the proof of concept. This announcement constitutes the RFP and is the only solicitation that will be issued. A proposal is being requested pursuant to this announcement and shall reference number 43PTO202134. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-27, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1. A firm fixed price purchase order will be awarded. A proposal shall be delivered to the Patent and Trademark Office, Office of Procurement, 2011 Crystal Drive, CPK 1, Suite 810, Arlington, VA 22202, Attention: Ms. Joan Hanicak, no later than 2:00 PM (EST) on January 22, 2002.
