- Description
- Provides for the purchase of products and services to connect two data communication circuits in separate buildings of at least 1.544Mbps speed over copper or fiber. Connections shall include internet access and contractor support for maintenance and security of the connection. The contractor shall install all necessary hardware, software and phone circuit to provide data communication circuit and internet connectivity and service. The contractor shall develop and conduct an acceptance test that demonstrates that all requirements of this contract have been met. The initial acceptance test shall be conducted and successfully completed immediately after installation of the new data communication circuits. The contractor shall conduct testing to establish that bi-directional data transfers of at least 128kb/s continuous across the data communication circuits occur with error rates of less that 1 percent for a period of 24 hours. During the 24 hour testing, the contractor shall demonstrate that there was no data loss in the data communication circuit. The contractor shall be responsible for the installation, configuration and integration of all equipment affected by this contract including but not limited to the DSU/CSU or equivalent interface, the data communication circuit and the router. The contractor shall ensure that DMEA has the continued use of its existing database of IP addresses. DMEA controls 24 Class C networks numbered 192.175.64 to 192.175.87. The data communication circuit shall be fully operational on a 24 hours 7 day schedule at least 99.5% of the time. The contractor shall provide Network News Feed via the Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) to DMEA after DMEA establishes a news server. The contractor shall provide for filtering of the illegitimate traffic before it reaches the T1 circuits going to DMEA (filtering will be accomplished at the contractor?s network facilities). This is a partial list of required specifications, the complete list will be in the RFP identified on the Statement of Work. Additionally, contractors will be required to furnish evaluation information with their proposal. Failure to furnish this information will be construed by the Government as inability to meet the need or the offeror?s taking exception to it and will be cause for elimination from consideration. This contract will be awarded for one year with four one year option periods. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to an award. The proposed award will be made under FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. See Note 1.
