Description

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries intends to award a Sole Source contract to Sealed Air Corporation., 2550 Commerce Boulevard, Sharon, OH 45241. This is a Request for Purchase for FOAM, "A"- COMP, AGFLEX-275., FOAM "B"- COMP, BGFLEX-275., & FILM,SPEEDY-VERAPACKER, SP19X5. The solicitation number is FN1090-02. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Sealed Air Corporation since they are the only known manufacturer of these products. The award will result in a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract. Delivery shall be made FOB Destination to: UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, 4002 East Arkona Road, Milan, MI 48160. The guaranteed minimum quantities for CHG0007-300,000LBS., CHG0008-260,000LBS., BAG0022-3,000,000FT., and maximum quantities CHG0007-750,000LBS., CHG0008-650,000LBS., BAG0022-7,500,000FT., Delivery order minimum amount for items CHG0007 & CHG0008 is 2,000LBS & BAG0022 is 1,800FT. The maximum delivery order for CHG0007 & CHG0008 is 19,800LB for BAG0022 is 50,400FT. Delivery shall be 15 days after each delivery order. Fax proposals are acceptable per FAR Provision 52.215-5. the fax number is 202-305-7337 / 7350. Offeror shall submit proposal by 2:00pm EST., February 15, 2002. The period of performance is date of award through 5 years. This solicitation will include an Economic Price Adjustment (EPA). Any responses to the synopsis should provide the solicitation number, concise documentation and technical data.
