Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and is a Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order to perform a Emergeny Tune-Up on MDL LL2 Air Compressor through Ingersoll-Rand, 10301 S. 152nd Street, Omaha, NE 68138. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Solicitation number F25600-02-T-0030 is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was based on Unusual and compelling urgency, 6.302-2(B). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-01. This procurement is set aside for Ingersoll-Rand. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333912. The business size standard is 500. Offutt AFB intends to issue a purchase order for Emergency Tune up on MDL LL2 Air Compressor, serial number CA2126. The period of performance will be 24 Jan 02 ? 30 Jan 02. The description of the project is as follows: Perform a tune-up on Model LL2 Air Compressor Serial Number CA2126. A Tune up will consist of replacing piston rings, piston rod packing and scrapers and rebuilding low-pressure and high-pressure valves. Rebuild the regulator, replace oil and oil filer and install a new air filter element. Test and operate the unit upon completion of work and adjust regulator as required. The head gasket that is leaking will be replaced in the course of doing above work. Any variation to the above work must be approved prior to any work being accomplished. Remove and replace defective parts from Model Number LL2 Serial Number CA2126 and Bldg. 565. CONTRACTOR MUST BE REGISTERED IN CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) PRIOR TO AWARD.
