Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: NA Follow-on installation of the Test Support Network (TSN) at White Sands Misile Range, New Mexico, and other test facilities in the western United States, including Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona; Fort Hood, Texas; and Fort Irwin, California. The TSN is a fiber optic data tranmission and communication system. Installation tasks include current and future equipment installations, fiber optic and copper cable installations, interfaces, integration to test facility instrumentation, prove-outs and quality assu rance testing requirements. System support includes engineering, system modification, system upgrades, maintenance and repair of installed equipment. System support tasks also includes the configuration, purchase, installation and integration of related fiber optic, electronic and electrical equipment. The Government will award a firm-fixed price, task order C contract for the services. Individual tasks will be assigned by bilateral modification of the contract. Funding is uncertain in a specific year, but it is estimated at total of $10 million if the contract goes to completion. Tasks will be assigned based upon priority of need as funding becomes available. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. In addition, the Government has i dentified two local SBA 8(a) contractors for the successful contractor to team with: one will provide systems engineering, and the other will provide optical splicing and termination capability. The applicable NAICS code is 541512, Computer Systems Desig n Services. The small business size standard is $18.0 million average annual receipts for the last three fiscal years. The period of performance will be a base period of one year, with seven one-year option periods. The solicitation will be posted on th e RMAC, White Sands web cite approximately fifteen days after this notice appears in the Army Single Face to Industry. See note 1.
