Description
One each portable self-contained Small Batch Paint Dispense System and, two each Small Batch Paint Dispensing Systems. The systems will be used to dispense epoxy, enamel, and latex for use at the Shipyard's piers and dry docks. The portable paint system components will be installed in a single heavy-duty hazardous material storage locker and, the small batch paint systems will be installed in government Paint Issue Rooms. The proposed system will be operated in a heavy-duty industrial environment and shall be capable of continuous operation over an extended period of time with minimal maintenance and upkeep. The system will be lifted in and out of dry docks by crane and relocated within a work area by forklift and crane. Must be an established commercial item. The specification has a detailed description for each component of the system. The system has several safety requirements ie. OSHA, energy-isolating devices, audible noise levels, environmental protection, and hazardous material exclusions etc. The contractor shall provide preliminary installation plans, manuals, and various certifications and data reports. The contractor shall provide onsite training to Shipyard personnel on the operation and maintenance of the installed equipment and component parts. There are Security issues for base clearance required for contractor personnel. Multiple contract awards possible. FOB destination with inspection and acceptance @ destination. Required delivery 30 June 2002. This will be a web-posted solicitation. The solicitation will be posted to NECO website: Http://www.neco.navy.mil. No hard-copy solicitation or amendment documents will be distributed by the Government. The Government will not mail the solicitation or any amendment thereto. Subsequent amendments to the solicitation, if any, will be promulgated ONLY via the NECO website. Because this is a web-posted solicitation, a Solicitation Mailing List is not maintained by the Government. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the referenced web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that any amendment has been issued. The NECO web site, which is linked to FedBizOpps is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site.
