Description

The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to Microsoft Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 4THF96028218. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-01. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services can satisfy the agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to provide Microsoft Enterprise Premiere Support. The proposed contract action is for on-call and telephonic technical assistance services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority granted by FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any proposal received by January 22, 2002 will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by fax at 256-895-5898.
