Description

This modification changes the previously indicated magnitude of construction. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement to upgrade a fire sprinkler system located at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Greenville, Illinois. The address for this project is FCI Greenville, 100 U. S. Route 40, Greenville, IL, 62246. This acquisition is advertised as full and open competition. All work and services provided must be in accordance with applicable codes related to Life Safety/Fire Sprinklers. All work and services must be performed by a licensed contractor. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $100,000 to $250,000. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 235110, with a small business size standard of $11.5 million. Contract duration will be ninety (90) calendar days from notice to proceed. Performance and payment bonds are required. Solicitation packages will be available approximately February 4, 2002. This solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. However, associated drawings are not available electronically on this website. Bidders must separately request the drawings, and they will be mailed upon request. Ordering information for the drawings will be indicated in the issuance cover letter and on the Standard Form SF-1442 of the solicitation document. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the referenced web-site.
