Description: The Naval Air Systems Command (Navair) has a requirement for the procurement and integration of a Mode 5 Identification Friend of Foe Capability on the F/A-18A-F Aircraft. Navair intends to negotiate with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), the sole designer and developer of Mode 5 under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-97-G-0167. MDC is the only firm possessing the requisite knowledge and expertise necessary to perform these efforts within the required timeframe.
