- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to negotiate for systems engineering support for submarine communications systems; such as communications antenna systems, exterior communications systems, ELF communications, and new technology initiatives in these areas. Specific tasks involve requirements and concepts analysis, operations research, systems analysis, test and evaluation, data reporting, ship checks, preparing drawing packages, installation, design electronic equipment, fabricate and test prototype hardware and special test equipment and ranges, develop documentation, provide data-center management of program documentation. The resulting contract will be Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity with cost-plus-fixed-fee provisions. The period of performance will be five years from date of award. The total estimated level of effort will be 405,000 man-hours of Operations Analysts, Systems Engineers, Computer Engineers, EE Engineers, Engineering Technicians, EE Technicians, Drafters, Technical Writers, Computer Data Librarians, Word Processors and General Clerks. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value to the Government. Multiple awards may be made. Evaluation factors include Personnel, Past Performance and Cost. The Service Contract Act applies. This acquisition is a follow-on to Contract N66604-98-D-2490 with Anteon Corporation and Contract N66604-98-D-249A with Sonalysts, Inc. This acquisition is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. NAICS Code is 541330.
