Description: NA DESCRIPTION OF TIMBER SALES AREA: Sale areas of approximately 148 acres located within the boundaries of the Fort Drum Military Reservation, New York. The timber herein advertised is not known to contain any form of military metal. This is a lump sum sal e of the timber described as follows: Item 1 Training Area 9A (Pine) 70 acres Eastern white pine ? 62.2 MBF and 188 cords. Item 2 Training Area 7F 48 acres Black cherry ? 9.2 MBF, Sugar maple ? 19.5 MBF, and Northern hardwoods 175 cords. Item 3 Training Area 9A 30 acres Sugar maple 27.3 MBF, black cherry ? 4.5 MBF, red maple - 7.6 MBF, other species ? 9.1 MBF, and Northern Hardwood ? 206 cords. !!!!!ALL THREE SALES ARE GOOD SPRING WORK!!!!! The timber to be sold may be inspected by prospective purchasers on or before February 25, 2002. Arrangements for inspections must be made with Mr. Paul Zang, telephone (315) 772-3170. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m., February 28, 2002, by the Acquisition, Management and Disposal Section, Real Estate Section, Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and then and there p ublicly opened and announced.
