Description

This is a synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center, Lake Superior Biological Station has a requirement to purchase a gyrocompass. The specifications are as follows: High Quality, reliable true heading indicator, not affected by local magnetic disturbance, regional variation or shipboard deviation; ability to interface with SIMRAD Robertson AP35 Autopilot, PC computer, JRC JMA series radar, Furno GP-1650 DGPS and other equipment; high visibility analog indicator for bridge console helm station with adjustable backlighting; 2 bridgewing repeaters, mounting stand/brackets and azimuth circles; NO mercury content; No required maintenance or preparations for winterization; settling time of less than 45 minutes; 115VAC or 24VDC power supply. THIS ACQUISITION WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION THRESHOLD OF $100,000.00. Sic code for this acquisition is 3812. Quotes are due at 4:30pm on 01/31/02.
