Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a contract to McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company for the procurement of up to thirty (30) Stand-off Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response (SLAM-ER) All-Up-Rounds (AUR) missiles in tactical, exercise, and training configurations, as well as related equipment, services, and documentation during a base year period. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available, and no formal Request for Proposal (RFP) or other solicitation regarding this announcement is currently available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: McDonnell Douglas Corp. (MDC) is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the SLAM-ER missile and is the only known firm with the necessary knowledge, technical data, equipment, facilities, and experience to perform this effort within the required timeframe. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought with MDC at the following address: McDonnell Douglas Corp. CONTRACT TYPE: A one-year contract with firm fixed price contract line items. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies and services anticipated needed herein is 336414 - Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above.
