Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government in tends to award a purchase order to Anacomp, Inc., 12365 Crosthwaite Circle, Poway, CA 92064, the developer and only source that can provide hardware and software maintenance for the Product Manager (PM) Personnel Electronic Record Management System (PERMS) hardware located at four (4) Army records management sites and one (1) PERMS testing site. The hardware services will consist of preventative and remedial maintenance on an ?on-call? basis. A list of hardware at each site is available upon request from Ms. Vernessa Younger at vernessa.younger@gsa.gov. The software maintenance shall consist of but not be limited to installation of Maintenance Releases and related documentation to the software. The services must be provided by the technical support staff between 6:00AM and 5:00PM, Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday, excluding observed holidays to diagnose and undertake corrective actions to applications problems or to provide assistance in the development of new applications. Software and license are proprietary with no other available source. The software and licenses are required and must be available for both routine and emergency maintenance services. These maintenance services will be for a base year of 12 months and 1 option year of 12 months. FEDSIM will issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with the FAR Part 13. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses as through FAC 52-20, as if stated in full text as well as the terms and conditions of FAR Part 52.212-1. Interested parties who can provide the required service shall submit a proposal to FEDSIM, 6354 Walker Lane, Suite 200, Alexandria, VA 22310, no later than 4:00PM, February 4, 2002, ATTN: Vernessa Younger.
