- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Replace Sewage Laterals, Military Family Housing, Eglin AFB FL. THIS IS A "TRADE-OFF" (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with Replace Sewage Laterals, Military Family Housing, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment for removal of existing sewage laterals within the Capehart Military Family Housing area and installation of new 4-inch Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) sewage laterals with cleanouts and reconnection of washer service connections. Dewatering of new utility pipe trenches may be required. Repair of concrete drives, concrete curbs and gutters, concrete sidewalks and asphalt roads that are demolished in the course of accomplishing the work will be required. Existing landscaping affected by this project will require restoration to include installation of new sod and removal and relocation of trees. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work is located on Eglin AFB FL. Proposal due date of 22 MARCH 2002 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is 548 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government's Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). See Note 26.
