Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: NOTICE TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, GOVERNMENT INTELLIGENCE INDUSTRY: The U.S. Department of State (DoS) is interested in identifying potential sources for digital copiers that operate to TEMPEST and Zone "A" and "B" standards. The digital copier must operate and be maintainable by Department of State maintenance technicians and shall not require remote maintenance diagnostics that require telephone connectivity to the copier. If a laptop or similar device is required to perform maintenance, such device, software, and license for use shall be provided and retained by the Government. Power requirements are 110V, 60Hz and/or 220V, 50Hz. If the system uses a hard disk drive, the drive(s) must be removable. If memory is used in lieu of disk drives to store images, that memory must be volatile and must be erased entirely when power is removed for less than one minute. Copy speed must range from 25 to 50 pages per minute with a minimum of 600 X 600 dpi print, copy, and scan resolution. Devices are to have State Department NT C-LAN connection capability that enables use as a network printer and scanner. Inquiries regarding NT C-LAN connection capability requirements should be directed in writing (fax and e-mail acceptable) to the Contracting Officer listed below. Digital copiers proposed may be recommended for evaluation for Tempest and Zoned use. DoS will facilitate new product testing at the vendor's expense. Neither successful testing nor a positive evaluation will result in a State Department obligation to enter into procurements or contracts. This sources sought announcement does not constitute an RFP and does not obligate the Government in any way. All information received in response to this announcement that is designated "Proprietary" will be handled accordingly. Costs related to providing products for testing and evaluation, meeting TEMPEST and Zoned requirements, or any other costs are the sole responsibility of the vendor/manufacturer. Any equipment submitted for testing is solely at the risk of the vendor. Interested parties should submit a response to this sources sought announcement to U.S. Department of State, A/LM/AQM/INF/TEL, Attn: Kathy Mejia, P.O. Box 9115, Rosslyn Station, Arlington, VA 22209.
