Description

The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau, Alaska is conducting a market survey to determine if commercial sources are available and capable to provide (inclusive of delivery) a standard manufactured marine gangway (brow) system, slightly modified to meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements, constructed of corrosion resistant aluminum for use in a saltwater environment and capable of providing for shore to ship and ship to shore access by personnel with hand carry baggage. The brow system will require factory dimensional modifications as necessary to meet Coast Guard requirements. Specific Survey Information Desired: a) Name and addresses (including phone numbers and POCs) of firms interested in and capable of providing these requirements; b) Catalog and other product literature; c) Any contractor restrictions in meeting the requirement. For example indicate if your operations are limited to certain geographical areas; c) Indicate if your firm is a Small or Large Business, HUBZone and/or 8(a). All responses should be submitted by February 11, 2002 to the Contracting Officer, USCG CEU Juneau, P. O. Box 21747, Juneau, AK 99802-1747. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the sole purpose of obtaining information from prospective offerors. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be issued at this time
