Description

The National Park Service is soliciting offers on a full and open competitive basis, from qualified companies, for the Wetland Restoration and Mitigation Program at Everglades National Park, Miami-Dade County, Florida. The work of this contract consists of restoration and mitigation of approximately 5,000 acres of wetlands known as the Hole-in-the-Donut (HID); the area is approximately 10 to 12 miles from Park Headquarters. It is anticipated that the contract(s) to be awarded as a result of this Request for Proposal (RFP) will be a requirements contract(s) under which the Government will order work necessary to accomplish a certain amount of vegetation clearing, substrate removal, and restoration; the performance of certain monitoring studies; and production of certain reports, as well as other miscellaneous tasks. Offerors may propose on either the Engineering and Construction (Section A) portion or the Environmental Monitoring (Section B) portion; offerors may also propose on both. Proposals for both must meet all requirements of the entire SOW. The Government may make one award for both portions of the work OR one award for Section A work and another award for Section B work. The contract term will consist of a base year running for twelve months from the date of award, and four option years. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. A pre-proposal site visit may be required. The solicitations will be available on or about February 15, 2002. ALL requests for the solicitation MUST be in writing.
