Description

The intent is to purchase a new 48-inch roll chassis dynamometer, a new dilute bag analysis bench, and a controller that enables emission tests to be fully automated. In order to function properly, the controller must be successfully interfaced with the new equipment (dynamometer and analysis bench) and an existing Horiba CVS-48 Sampler. The system shall enable the control of analyzers, setting of functions, displaying of graphs, collection and reporting of real-time or modal data, and performance of maintenance features and tests. Standard tests such as the UDDS, HWFET, and US06 emission tests shall be conducted in accordance with CFR requirements in an automated process. This includes such automated functions as zero and span of analyzers, selection of proper analyzer ranges, bag fill, bag sampling, and bag purge sequencing. The controller shall also provide signals for control of at least three auxiliary sampling devices, such as sequencing of test phases for aldehyde, detailed HC, and PM sampling . The system shall have both data acquisition (including real-time emissions versus speed) and reporting capabilities. The solicitation will be issued about 2/11/02 and will be available only via the EPA web site.
