- The address for the Contracting Office responsible for this solicitation is: National Institutes of Health, Division of Research Acquisition, OLAO, 6100 Executive Blvd., Room 6E01, MSC 7540, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7540. The National Institute on Aging has a requirement to provide services in the area of pharmaceutical formulation of drug candidates which have been identified in the NIA laboratories for development and study in Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. The work to be performed requires a facility that is capable of preparing drug mixed with excipient and packaging drug in tablet, capsule, liquid suitable for oral administration, and liquid suitable for parenteral administration of drug to humans. Studies of solubility, stability of the final formulation, and dissolution of the final formulation will be conducted in accordance with requirements for the Food and Drug Administration?s (FDA) Investigational New Drug (IND) submission. The Contractor shall comply with all Government health and safety regulations. The Contractor?s laboratory facility MUST be in compliance with the FDA Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (GLP), as published in December 22, 1978 Federal Register Volume 43, No. 247, pp. 59986-60025. A two-year cost-plus-fixed-fee type contract, with three 1-year option periods is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541710.
