Description
Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD 20670 has a requirement for fourteen (14)similar data acquisition systems for usege in a fleet of Lockheed Martin (General Dynamics) F-16 A/B OCU (block 15) aircraft vehicles at NAS Fallon, Nevada starting within the next three months. NAVAIR intends to issue a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to RADA Electronic Industries, 7 Giborei Israel St., Netanya (North) Israel, POC Rafi Nezer (972-9-8921118). The data acquisition systems or structural data recorder (SDR) systems will be required to record aircraft operational parameters and store said data (MIN 16 Mbyte FLASH capacity) for retrieval/download at a later time and require no periodic maintenance, with a minimum mean time between failures of 3000 flight hours. The SDR is to be non-invasive to the Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, have a simplified PC interface via flash card or direct flight line connectivity, have modular components that fit into the airframe without structural modifications, and process recorded aircraft MUX-BUS parameters (MIN 10 parameters) and record 5 strain gages for monitoring of airframe fatigue damage and individual aircraft usage. The procurement will include fatigue data processing software and ground station (PC based) installation with an on-sitefirst article installation engineering support for the initial installed unit(s)effort. The contractor shall provide all support equipment and manpower required for Intermediate and Depot levels of maintenance and on-site logistics and technical a full time support during initial kit installations.of organizational level personnel during the first article installation.
