- Description
- The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) intends to award a sole source Bridge contract to Houston Associates Inc. (HAI), 4601 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 1001, Arlington, VA 22203-1714. The Bridge contract will be awarded against HAI's GSA schedule and will have a period of performance of six months with two three-month option periods. Therefore, the Bridge contract may be in effect up to a year beginning 16 Jan 02 and ending 15 Jan 03. Under the Bridge contract HAI will continue to perform network and system administration; software and applications systems operations; demonstration and management services support; as well as to operate, administer, maintain manage, and demonstrate the Center for Information Technology Integration (CITI) networks, systems, and services and to assist with the transitioning of them to Government agencies. The follow-on contract will be awarded following a full and open competition for a minimum of a one year base period and four (4) one year option periods. The NAICS code for the follow-on contract will be 541512. The Bridge requirement is being awarded as a sole source because of the need for continuity of services until the follow-on contract is awarded. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue an award that is other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive quotations. The determination of the Government not to open this requirement to full and open competition was made IAW 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) 1 and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
