- J. REPAIR SERVICES, NON-PERSONAL: The Contractor shall furnish all required labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish overhaul/repair of a quantity of 15 ea F108 Main Engine Control (MEC). A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The item and estimated quantities are: INPUT/OUTPUT NSN 2915-01-209-9046PN, P/N 8062-482/9278M96P10 and/or P/N 8062-482/9278M96P11. This item is a hydro-mechanical device that contains a fuel metering system, a shutoff and pump unloading system, turbine clearance valve and a pressuring valve. Its function provides automatic speed adjustments, which provides control to optimize engine performance. There is no Government Furnished Tooling. Deliveries to Tinker AFB OK 73145. A written solicitation will be issued to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Woodward Governor Company, Rockford IL. The Statement of Work requires 100% replacement of parts containing L806-80 and L737-65 in the part number as well as all parts that can leak to external ports. All data necessary to overhaul/repair, modify or refurbish these parts is proprietary to Woodward Governor Company. Solicitation Number F34601-02-R-48774 will be issued on or about 25 January 2002 with a closing date on or about 22 February 2002. This synopsis is a notice of the Government's intent to issue an award under other than full and open competition IAW FAR 6.302-1, and should not be considered a request for competitive proposals.
