NA DESCRIPTION: THE FOLLOWING IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) is seeking contractors that are capable to Overhaul/Repair/Modify the Head Rotary FWD & AFT, CH-47. The NSN(s) and P/N(s) are as follows: ITEM NSN/P/N QTY Head Rotary - FWD Input NSN/P/N: 1615-01-391-4398/145R2003-10 1615-01-314-8863/145R2003-9 1615-01-198-7555/145R2003-3 1615-01-118-5634/145R2003-1 1615-01-296-9503/145R2003-6 1615-01-345-0477/145R2003-5 Output NSN/P/N: 1615-01-391-4398/145R2003-10 48 EA. Min./240 EA. Max. Head Rotary - AFT Input NSN/P/N: 1615-01-391-4399/145R2004-20 1615-01-315-3972/145R2004-18 1615-01-312-6833/145R2004-10 1615-01-298-0763/145R2004-12 1615-01-199-1814/145R2004-6 1615-01-184-3874/145R2004-8 1615-01-115-3607/145R2004-2 Output NSN/P/N: 1615-01-391-4399/145R2004-20 34 EA. Min./322 EA. Max. The purposed contractual action will be a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. All efforts are to be accomplished in accordance with approved Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 55-1615-296, dated 01 Nov 1985, with applicable AEDs. These items are safety of flight and contain parts that are also flight safety, which require sp ecial tooling and engineering testing. A Product Verification Audit (PVA) may be required for prospective sources. Capable Contactor(s) must be able to: (1) DEMONSTRATE REQUIRED CAPABILITIES, (2) OWN OR HAVE ACCESS TO ANY REQUIRED SPECIAL TOOLING AND TE ST EQUIPMENT, (3) OBTAIN PARTS FROM ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER (OEM) and (4) MEET THE GOVERNMENTS? DESIRED DELIVERY SCHEDULE. The desired schedules are as follows: Head Rotary - FWD, CH-47, is 4 each initially and 4 each per month thereafter, commen cing 210 days after receipt of assets and the Head Rotary - AFT, CH-47, is 5 each initially and 6 each per month thereafter, commencing 210 days after receipt of assets, until completion. Capable Contractor(s) must communicate their interest and provide a capability statement including synopsis of their abilities and past experience in overhaul and maintenance of this or similar items, in writing, preferably VIA DATAFAX, NO LATER THAN Jan 30, 2002.
